 La Cochon Rose Motel is located @ 123 Napier Street, St Arnaud, Vic 3478

​

The motel units are tucked away down a carriageway at the rear of the historic hotel in the main street of St Arnaud Victoria (the Northern end of town) in amongst our beautiful gardens, with beautiful birds who call La Cochon Rose home.

 

Whilst being situated in quiet location access onto the main street is just a stroll beneath the rose wall and wisteria lined carriageway to shopping, cafes, banks, hotels, collectable shops all right at hand. 

​

Noting that we are pet friendly to well-behaved owners and their furry companions, we ask that our responsible pets keep their owners on a leash at all times.

 

Many of our guests use us as a base for their trip around the silo trail,

St Arnaud has its own silo art and murals around the town and a growing list of artists in residence. 

ROOMS

OUR ROOMS

We have available five clean and comfortable pet friendly motel units. These are equipped with either a King or Queen & Single bed or Queen bed only.

 

Newly opened, a family room in the main hotel, available via phone booking only, that sleeps 4 people, Queen/King twin room.

Units contain ensuite and are fitted out with fridges, heating, air-conditioning   

tv, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery and wine glasses.

​

Along with complimentary water, milk, tea, coffee & sugars and our little treat for our guests our mini chocolates.

​

Our cosy beds have electric blankets and toppers for your comfort.

​

All our rooms are fitted out with fresh cut flowers from our beautiful gardens.

Currently, we don't offer Breakfast however there are some fine food establishments only paces away

Daily Housekeeping

 

We pay attention to detail and pride ourselves on our cleanliness. The rooms are fully cleaned & sanitized before every guest arrives. If daily servicing is required during your stay, please notify reception and we will place you on our service schedule otherwise we will not enter your room. :)

Laundry facilities

​

Yes, we currently offer laundry facilities for guest to use, these include top load washer big enough for blankets etc and a dryer to quickly get your gear dry, also in laundry large double sink and wide laundry bench for easy folding, make yourself at home!

(please leave laundry in a satisfactory condition so we can continue to offer this service)

Wineries Tour

 

St Arnaud is located at the Northern end of the Pyrenees and as such has some fantastic wineries located close by, Cheers!

Historic Buildings & Parks

 

Given that St Arnaud is the top of the golden triangle it's rich gold mining past allowed for the development of some fine buildings and the establishment of Queen Mary Gardens 

Gold Mining History

St Arnaud is steeped in Gold History , Being originally called New Bendigo after the discovery of gold 

Bring your metal detectors and try your luck 

Bike Trails 

 

We have a myriad of bike trails throughout the St Arnaud State Park bordering the edge of town 

Wax Gardens 

 

Is a fenced-off 3.8-ha flora reserve within the St Arnaud Regional Park. Follow the Wimmera Highway south-west out of town for about 3 km then turn left into Centre Rd (gravel). 

Silo Art Trail

St Arnaud is popular with those keen on the outdoors, while out and about check out all our gorgeous art, perfect for a selfie!

A LOVELY FRIENDLYPLACE TO HANG OUT 

Although this property was in the middle of the town, the rooms which you stay in are hidden on the back of the property. It felt like a nature retreat, and you would never know you were in the centre of town.

A very private and quiet setting - so particularly great for a group of friends. We travel around country Australia a lot and sometimes get a bit tired of staying in overpriced places where no-one really goes that little extra distance to make your stay a bit special - this is most definitely not one of those places. Dog friendly too - so all up, we and the dogs had a great weekend.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

I recently stayed for two nights while in the process of moving from St. Arnaud to interstate. It was an absolute haven, a home away from home. Yes, it's dated but in a charming retro 70's way with yellow & brown bathroom tiles and brick walls and a wood ceiling. It was warm on a succession of freezing cold days, and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, in a motel. I would highly recommend this quiet, inexpensive, hidden gem.

IDEAL SHORT STAY STOPPER 

Located at the rear of an old hotel, La Cochon Rose is quiet and located a short distance from the centre of town. The décor is dated, but the comfort is excellent. There is an excellent bed, a table and chairs, crockery and cutlery, microwave, kettle and toaster. Good instant coffee and good tea bags, plus cafe latte sachets are supplied. We arrived back late to find the heater on, thank you.

TOUCH OF CLASS

We were blown away from the moment you're out of the car, from the Persian rug as we entered the room, a rose on the table, a touch of class! to the moccona coffee and everything one could possibly want on a quiet stay, love the garden jungle our dog loved it too
